commission process step by step

Step 1: Reserving Your Slot.
Approach me with your desired commission, ideally with some references prepared. We will discuss the estimated time frame and price for your piece.
Step 2: First Sketch & Payment.
Once discussions are through and I am ready to begin working on your commission, I will approach with a very rough concept sketch. All character poses will have to be finalized during this stage. Once you are satisfied with the overall concept, payment in full will be expected before I commence beyond this initial sketch.
If you wish to cancel your commission, you must do so at this stage. Refunds will no longer be available after I have begun the work in proper.Step 3: Major Revision.
The second check-in occurs when a polished sketch is ready. Save for the pose, you are at this point still free to request bigger alterations to the piece, such as alterations to the outfit, a different facial expression, etc.. You can at this time also request additional details, but be mindful that such revisions may invoke an additional upcharge, which will have to be paid before I proceed with the piece.
You can expect the initial polished sketch up to two weeks after your payment was processed. Sketches in the Render style will be in grayscale. Sketches in the Clean Lines style will only be lineart. Depending on how satisfied you were with the initial concept sketch, you may be sent complete linework at this stage.Step 4: Minor Revision.
The last check-in will occur when the linework is complete and the colors are roughly blocked in (for Clean Lines commissions) or when the piece is roughly 75%–95% complete (for Full Render commissions). You will receive the piece for approval. At this stage, the finer details may still be changed, though any changes that would require greater parts of the piece to be reworked are no longer possible.
You can expect the minor revisions to take place from one to two weeks after the polished sketch was approved.Step 5: Commission Complete!
I send you the finished work, and hope it is to your liking!
NB! Please note that the general time frames listed above are estimates. If I need more time to work on your commission, I will let you know in a timely manner. If you have not heard from me at all within the given time frame, please do reach out.
